RESIDENTS in Dagenham are being urged to look out for a prisoner who tricked his way out of a Suffolk prison.
James Whitlock walked out of HMP Edmunds Hill on Monday 14 June without authority. The 25-year-old man was serving a 33-month sentence for theft. He is described as white, approximately 5ft 10ins, of slim build and has light, brown hair.
A police spokesman said: “As well as parts of Essex and Suffolk, he has connections to Dagenham, Chingford and Waltham Forest in east London and Maidenhead in Berkshire so we would ask people living and working in these areas to look out for him and contact us immediately.”
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of James Whitlock is urged to contact Suffolk Police on 01473 613500 or their nearest police station.
