This deadly Samurai sword was found stashed away in a communal bin area in Dagenham today.
Officers from Whalebone Safer Neighbourhood Team made the shocking discovery in Royal Anglian Way.
They uploaded the image on social networking site Twitter saying: “Just recovered this samurai sword, secreted away outdoors by somebody. One less blade on the streets. Thankfully we got there first.”
The blade has been submitted for fingerprint tests.
