A Zombie knife, sawn-off shotgun and ammunition was discovered alongside an abandoned stolen scooter after a man fearing his life called police.
The scooter, which was stolen in Dagenham, was being used by two men in South Ockendon when a male who believed he was about to be stabbed called police on Friday, just after 10pm.
When officers arrived the pair sped off on the scooter but it was later recovered alongside the deadly stash of weapons.
Police are keen to chase the man who feared for his life and the two riders on the scooter.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: βAt this stage, we are exploring whether these two incidents are linked, and enquiries are ongoing to locate the man who feared he was going to be stabbed.β
Anyone with information should call investigating officers at Grays CID on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
