Police have arrested six teenagers after a firearms sting operation this afternoon.
Armed officers stopped a vehicle opposite the Moby Dick pub in Whalebone Lane North, Chadwell Heath, at 2.20pm, and arrested six males in their mid to late teens on suspicion of firearms offences.
One of the suspects sustained a foot injury at the scene and was taken to hospital. The remaining five suspects were taken to an east London police station where they remain in custody.
The vehicle was also seized in the undercover operation but no firearms were recovered. Part of the road was closed but has now reopened.
