Talks to try to head off a possible strike by fuel tanker drivers are expected to resume today.
The Unite union and seven distribution companies held negotiations with conciliation service Acas at a secret location in London until 1am this morning.
The talks come after panic buying at the pumps that saw a dozen filling stations run out of fuel in Barking and Dagenham last week.
Most stations had been restocked at the start of this week despite queues or shortages at a few forecourts including Shell and Tesco.
