Three men appeared at the Old Bailey yesterday over a shop robbery that lead to the death of a father-of-two.
Lithuanian nationals Aurimas Diliunas, 27, of Rosslyn Road, Barking, and Vidmantas Gonskoves, 26, of Grange Road, Plaistow, appeared in the dock charged with manslaughter and robbery.
Businessman Shammi Atwal, 45, died after he was hit by a lorry while chasing a gang of armed robbers from his store in River Road, Barking, on Monday, October 14.
A third man, Farhan Sheikh, 38, of Thornhill Gardens, Barking, also appeared on a single charge of conspiracy to rob.
All three were remanded in cutody and will return to the court on Monday, January 20, for plea and case management hearings.
