VOLUNTEERS are needed to work on a new community garden project that will help older disabled people tend their gardens.
The Community Garden Sharing Project, run in two Dagenham wards, aims to turn overgrown gardens into productive plots.
It will help residents who are no longer able to keep their gardens trim, while also offering volunteers a rewarding experience.
Volunteers can be unemployed, retired or just people who have some spare time they’d like to give towards helping a vulnerable person.
For more information contact Community Enterprise East London, who are organising the project on behalf of the council, on (020) 8555 8468.
