A woman was airlifted to hospital after being stabbed yesterday afternoon on the Heath Park Estate.
Police were called to Sedgemoor Drive, Dagenham at 4.05pm along with medics and the air ambulance.
The 20-year-old victim escaped with superficial injuries and has now been discharged from hospital.
An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and remains in custody.
Officers from Barking and Dagenham are investigating and enquiries continue.
