Woman left bruised during late night Dagenham robbery

Police are appealing for information after a woman suffered extensive bruising to her face during a robbery in Dagenham.

The 64-year-old was walking into Burnside Road from Green Lane at around 11.30pm on Friday, March 27 when she was approached by two men, described as black and aged between 17 and 25.

They made a grab for her salmon pink shoulder bag, but she lost her footing and fell to the floor, hitting her head and causing extensive bruising to her face.

The men, who were dressed in dark clothing with their hoods up, left via the alleyway that runs behind the shops.
