PLASHET BOWLS captured the Seeley Cup after a crushing 58-25 victory over Phoenix on Sunday at Watson Avenue.

The team on rink one, skipped by John Cooper, with Harry Morley and Mike Mullinder, were always ahead after the fifth end, and built up the scores in an exciting match.

Phoenix began to come back at Plashet, but it was too late with the Newham side winning 26-18.

Rink two skipped by Vic Byrne, with Cliff Dye and Peter Chilkes, chalked up the biggest rink win of the season.

They managed to restrict Phoenix to just four winning ends out of 18, as Plashet won the game 32-7.
