POLICE have recovered stolen emergency hy-draulic cutting equipment from a Dagenham home.

The equipment, which is used by the Fire Brigade to cut victims free of traffic accidents and other critical incidents, went missing from a London Fire Brigade and Essex Fire Brigade station in June and July last year.

Since then the firefighters have been being reliant on other stations for use of this vital equipment.

The specialist equipment was spotted on eBay by a sharp-eyed fireman who reported the matter to the police.

The sellers were tracked to an address in Dagen-ham, and the items have now been recovered.
