Archant

A mischievous Dagenham boy’s mother has thanked firefighters for helping her three-year-old son who got his head stuck in the bars of a metal chair.

Lincan Jowers was out shopping with his mother Kirstie Cartwright in the Phones 4U store in Romford, when he decided to see if he could fit his head through the back rest of a chair. But then he couldn’t get out.

Kirstie, 26, who is expecting her third child, and staff wrestled with the chair for about 30 minutes before calling the fire brigade.

The shop was shut temporarily while Dagenham Fire Service released Lincan.
