A Dagenham-based charity has been holding parties this week for elderly residents over the festive period.

Members of DABD’s Golden Years clubs came together for music, food, drink and a raffle.

Prizes were donated by Dagenham & Redbridge Football Club, Golden Fish Restaurant, Ma Baker’s, Heathway Butchers and Bella Bronze.

Pat Gillman, Golden Years Manager, said: “Our members all had a fantastic time at the parties and we were so grateful to local business for supporting the clubs with their kind donations towards the raffle prizes.”

The Golden Years programme is to help tackle loneliness and isolation in the borough.

DABD is a charity which tackles loneliness and isolation in the 60+ age group in the local area.

The parties were held at Fanshawe Community Centre in Barnmead Road, Dagenham.
