A baker’s dozen of dancers are heading to Paris to battle it out in a competition – and say hello to Minnie Mouse.

The magnificent 13, all girls aged between two and 11, are from the Miss Natalie Dance School in Dagenham.

They will take part in the Euro Disney dance championship from March 11 to 14.

“The children have raised all the money themselves – £200 for each girl – and they’ve bought their own costumes,” Nicola Papworth, who assisted with the fundraising, said.

“We’re very proud of them – I think they got sick and tired of raising cash by the end.”

Nicola said the girls began collecting – with bingo nights, a medium event, discos and more – last April.

“But we don’t just take, take, take – we gave a lot to charity as well,” she said.

The youngest of the participants is two-year-old Arabella Trollbridge, who Nicola said will “try” to dance in Paris.

But winning isn’t everying to the girls.

“They’ll go there and do their best,” Nicola said. “And that’s all that matters.”
