It marked the end New York-born artist Marcelo Camus’ six-month project to create an artistic community in the borough.

Beginning with an exhibition at Heath Park Art Spark on Stansgate Road, the show saw performers march with drums to the estate green, where they performed parkour accompanied by singing and fire displays.

Marcelo, 39, said the show, Heath Spark, was “moving”.

“It was really nice to see an interesting mix of residents and people from art groups,” he said. “I’ve been here for six months putting art on the estate, hoping to make a little spark that will kindle into something and that’s exactly what’s happened.”
