A Dagenham girl group put on the performance of their lives in the hope of being crowned Sport Relief Does Glee Club winners 2012.

SweetCheeks, a singing and dancing group of five, beat hundreds of other young hopefuls across the UK, to be one of the final 24 acts on the charity fundraising show, last week.

Although they did not make it through to the live final, they earned a respectable 134 points, and entertained viewers by singing pop classics, such as, Ego by The Saturdays, and Don’t Stop Believing, sung by the original Glee cast.

Jessica Hall, Taylor Martin, Rebecca Wallace and Summer Emery, aged between 12 and 14, were teamed up by dance teacher Natalie Emery, who held auditions at her dance studio with the aim of creating a “young female group”.

Mrs Emery, founder and head at Emery Stage School, is the mother of Summer. She also manages and choreographs the girls’ performances.

SweetCheeks have performed in Britain’s Got Talent and Essex Got Talent.
