Motorists face long delays on the A13 westbound this morning following a crash involving a motorbike in Dagenham.

Police were called to the junction of Thames Gateway and the A1306 Ripple Road at 6.15am, after the bike hit the back of the car.

Although neither driver was seriously injured, the motorcyclist was taken to hospital as a precaution by paramedics from the London Ambulance Service.

Two lanes were closed, but have since re-opened but queues are still stretching back to the Wennington Interchange.
