Daggers fan Daniel Law is writing a blog during the 2015-16 season

He’s back! The legendary John Still has re-joined Dagenham & Redbridge as manger until the end of next season for his third spell as boss.

After orchestrating some of Dagenham’s greatest moments, including the Conference winning season of 2006/07 and the 2010 League Two play-off final, most of, if not all fans, will be glad to see Still back in charge of the club.

Despite his past success with the club, the main priority will be to survive the dreaded drop zone come May, a situation that Still has already had an impact on having claimed his first win for Daggers in his first game back.

That victory came in Dagenham’s first game of 2016 as they defeated Exeter City 2-1 at St. James Park, making it back-to-back wins for the away side for the first time this season.

Captain Joss Labadie has been in inspired form recently, scoring against Stevenage and then against Exeter. Labadie also seems to be preferred to Andre Boucaud due to his stronger physical presence, height and goal scoring abilities.

Tom Nichols levelled just before half time for the home side before Ashley Chambers continued his good form to score from close range with 74 minutes on the clock.

This week sees Dagenham travel to Premier League side Everton in the FA Cup third round, a momentous occasion that many Dagenham supporters will remember for a long time to come whatever the score turns out to be!

Over 2000 Dagenham supporters and 10 supporters’ coaches will travel to the game on Saturday for what should create a fantastic atmosphere amongst the away fans!

Should be a fantastic day for the football club and its supporters this week. Come on you Daggers!
