Dagenham song-bird Stacey Solomon is getting ready to take part in the world’s biggest triathlon this Sunday.

The 21-year-old will join more than 13,000 competitors as she swims, cycles and runs around the ExCel Centre and Royal Victoria Docks for the two-day Virgin Active event.

On Friday she braved the waters of the Serpentine Lake in Hyde Part in preparation for the big day.

In a column for The People newspaper, she joked: “In the real thing I’m gonna hold on to Sir Richard Branson’s leg and he can pull me along.”
