A five part documentary series about the challenges and characters at Dagenham Sunday Market is set to air next month.

The BBC series, called Good Morning Dagenham, is set within Britain’s biggest open air market and focuses on how bosses are attempting to fight the threat of internet shopping with new stalls and weekly attractions.

The show, narrated by Larry Lamb, will also feature market traders and the range of products and services on offer every week.

It will offer an insight into the world of a whole host of people involved with the market and its role in the community.

Details of the documentary, due to air in March, were announced as part of the BBC’s new daytime factual shows to air on its main two channels in the coming months.

The exact dates and times of each episode have not been released but the show will be available on BBC iPlayer after broadcast.
