The Inspiration School of Performing Arts, based at Theresa Green Community Centre, in Leys Avenue, Dagenham, is hosting the show on June 28.

Money raised from the event, called Inspiration School of Performing Arts’ Got Talent, will go towards equipment, pay for trips and ensure the cost of classes is kept low.

The school is also looking for businesses and individuals to sponsor their most talented pupils and is inviting them to the event to watch the performers.

“Dagenham is quite a deprived area, and it can be tough for families to cover the cost of classes, so we encourage people to sponsor our students,” said school owner Jordan Spicer.

Pupils have appeared in a number of West End shows including Shrek and Oliver.

The event takes place at Stifford Clays Working Men’s Club, in Grays, Essex, from 7pm. For more information call Jordan on 07946 352305.
