Daggers are hammered 5-2 on home soil by Aldershot

FULL TIME - Daggers are thrashed here - more to come soon

GOALFLASH - Oh dear, Day plays Soares onside and he takes the ball forward before drilling it into the bottom corner.

Four minutes added time here.

Third change for the Shots but its all over bar the shouting here.

Seven minutes left here, you would think Daggers need a goal now if they are going to get something from the game - can't really see it happening though.

Has to be said, its no more that the Shots deserve today - poor error by Day, but as I've said, Daggers are all over the shop.

GOALFLASH - That could be it for Daggers now as Day makes a hash of a long ball forward and Jackson shoots home at the third attempt, after two fine saves by Roberts.

70MINS: There's is precious little shape to Daggers now, the midfield and defence are being pulled all over the place.

Passes are going astray, and it must be said that the side look disjointed at best.

The players don't seem to know where one another are going to be and Jackson almost put the result beyond the hosts, but his header was claimed by Roberts.

That sub has seen Gain move to the left, with Currie on the right wing now.

A welcome return to Daggers action for Danny Spiller as he has replaced Danny Green.

GOALFLASH - Daggers behind again as Marvin Morgan turned Antwi to slide the ball past Roberts from close range.

In the lead up to the goal, Morgan turned Day inside and out and the Daggers defence, which has been strong this season was parted for the third time tonight.

Well, first Sandell volleyed home from a corner ala Paul Scholes, first time from the edge of the box. Within seconds, Nana had picked up the ball outside the area and drilled it into the goal, but Ruiz will not be happy with his efforts as it did rather go straight through him.

Its been a poor game in all, but there have still been four goals, only with Daggers!

GOALFLASH - Its 2-2 here, more to come!!

50MINS: Benson came close just then after pouncing on a clearance by the keeper, but his toepoke was straight at Ruiz.

We're back underway here now.

Theres the half time whistle, a poor opening 45 minutes for the hosts and they are lucky to be on level terms.

One minute to be added here

Daggers usually all run out at opposing free kicks, this time Nana didnt do it, and thankfully he headed it clear, as the Shots forwards were ready to pounce had he missed.

GOALFLASH - Arber makes it 1-1 with a cool penalty, low to the keepers right after Charles had turned from hero to villain, handling the ball in the area for the spotkick.

Must admit, that has come as no surprise here, as the home fans are quiet, their team is quiet, and there's just something missing tonight, maybe a rocket is needed from Still at the break.

GOALFLASH - Mistake from Roberts there as he came for a free kick, didnt get anywhere near it though and Charles flicked the ball into an empty net

Closest Daggers have come just then as Green swung a corner in and Arber headed goalwards, only for Donnelly to nod off the line.

20MINS: Still no better for the hosts here, Currie should be in the book after a hilarious deliberate handball, but referee Grant Hegley gave nothing.

Gain has just put a routine ball to the flank completely out of play to sum up the difficulties Daggers are having this evening.

15MINS: Not a great deal to report in it has to be said, as Arber puts a header meekly wide.

Shots are still looking the more likely, and they are getting some joy down Nana's side as Daggers defence hasnt looked the most solid, but with different back fours most weeks maybe that isnt surprising.

Currie is showing some excellent touches, but the hosts do look a touch off in these first 20 mins.

10MINS: First 10 minutes has been pretty even, Benson headed over a cross from Currie, while Straker skinned Nana for pace, which was a worrying sign for the young full back.

Soares also made Roberts save well low down to his left, and it must be said, the visitors have settled the better here.

On another note, the teams walked out of their new changing rooms under the new stand today, which was nice.
