Daggers get back to winning ways with a triumph over play-off chasers Bury

A very happy Daggers camp then as Wayne Burnett praises the impact of Josh Scott, and it was he who turned the game, winning his physical battle with Efe Sodje.

Paul Benson was also delighted to be back on the scoresheet and see the Post on Wednesday for a full interview with Daggers striker.

Match Day Live will be back for next weeks trip to Rotherham, so do join me then.

Nana makes it 3-1 in injury time, more to come!

Four minutes added time here!

Some desperate defending for the hosts now, 2 minutes of normal time, they'll be desperate to hold on today.

GOALFLASH - BENSON MAKES IT 2-1

That call came about as Gain turned the ball back in from a corner, Scott's shot was saved by Brown and then Benson converted the rebound. Cracking game this now.

And the striker has now been taken off, with Ryan Lowe taking his place.

Nardiello is in the book now after continued discussions with the referee, he needs to be careful now.

Scott is making a big difference here, as his pace and power is causing all kinds of problems.

WOODWORK HIT

Its all happening here - first Nardiello puts a header against the bar, then Benson slides the ball against the post and into the arms of Brown, while Morrell lifts his shot over the top from a 1 on 1 too.

Dont look away, theres bound to be another goal here.

As soon as I type that, Racchi goes off for Jones, while Currie is replaced by Josh Scott and earns a good reception from the home fans.

Sloppy period of play for Daggers here as Miller loses possession all too easily, while Doe slices over his own bar.

Plenty of options on the bench for Still today, but he hasn't used one yet.

54MINS Plenty of action this half now as Benson is out for number two, but has shot at Brown and then into the sidenetting.

Still not really sure why Doe had his goal ruled out, but Daggers will be looking to get a legitimate one before time is out.

DISALLOWED GOAL Doe heads in for the hosts, but for some reason, the goal has been chalked off. Handball some are saying, but no-one really knows.

Escape for Daggers at the other end too, as while they were celebrating the free kick was taken but Nardiello fired over when well placed.

And we're underway in the second half now

GOALFLASH - NARDIELLO MAKES IT 1-1

As the whistle goes for half time - Daggers are pegged back and it looked like an owngoal, although Nardiello is claiming it.

Corner was swung into the near post and it was turned into the net. Before then, Roberts made a fine save from Racchi, but it counted for nothing as now the scores are level.

Two minutes added time here

44MINS: Massive let off for Daggers there as Nardiello played a glorious 1-2 with Morrell., but with just Roberts to beat, side-footed wide of the post. A man in his form should really have taken that.

Roberts was finally called upon then, but it was a very tame effort from Nardiello and most could have saved that.

Referee Whitestone is the most central figure in this game so far, and you get the feeling he quite enjoys that.

37MINS: Benson has just brought a save out of Brown, while the ball was in the net after Arbers header but Nurse clattered the keeper and was also offside too, so it was disallowed.

Nurse in the book now for a challenge on Sodje - there are going to plenty more of these before the afternoon is finished.

Doe is having a fine game today, in for Antwi - a number of fine blocks and challenges already.

Some strong arm tactics by the visitors are giving both Benson and Nurse plenty to think about. Nurse has already had a few words with his marker and they could develop into interesting battles as they match progresses.

22MINS: That goal hasnt exactly led to a flood of chances as neither side has yet to really find their flow. Daggers wont mind this though, and if they can keep a clean sheet today, that will suit them just fine.

GOALFLASH - PAUL BENSON OPENS THE SCORING!!

Terry Harris said in this weeks Post that he would do it, and Benson has done just that, capitalising on some pinball in the Bury area to fire into the bottom corner. That goal should do his confidence the world of good.

15MINS: Brown is finally called into action, smartly catching Nana's driven cross after the right back beat his man. Better from the hosts that as they worked the ball into a wide position.

Day gifts a throw-in away as Daggers still look a little edgy in possession, they havent fashioned a chance yet, while Bury still look dangerous when the likes of Nardiello and Worrall get on the ball.

10MINS: Not much flow to the game yet as the ball seems to be spending most of its time out of play. No chances to speak of either and the match needs warming up is must be said.

A long Green throw caused havoc there, but after Nurse's cut back, Currie and Benson got in each others way rather and Sodje cleared the danger.

7MINS: Definitely looks like the visitors have settled earliest here, and look comfortable on the ball. Worrall almost got clear on the wing, but Nana managed to block as there are a few games appearing in the Daggers defence.

He seems alright now and is back on, so here we go again.

And we're off here, the mascots have gone and there is an injury to Bury captain Dawson, not sure what happened, but he looks in quite a bad way.

Teams are out now and exchanged the customary handshakes. Daggers have a bit 100 mascots today from a Horchurch footie team, it would be funny if they stayed on the pitch for the game, but alas, I dont think thats going to happen.
