Daggers ease to another fine victory, beating Lincoln 3-0 at Victoria Road

FULL TIME Simple for Daggers, and everyone is rightly delighted with themselves after another fine performance.

Look out for interviews with Jon Nurse and debutant Billy Bingham in the Post this week, while the player ratings will be on the website on Monday morning.

Billy Bingham now gets his first taste of league football, replacing Nurse.

Montgomery now on for Green, with Nurse switching to the right flank.

80MINS: Nurse is after his hat-trick now, totally vindicating his selection by Still ahead of Montgomery.

Howe should have pulled one back for the visitors, but his drive flashed past Roberts and also wide of the post too.

JB has been back: Surely this is enough for Manager of the Month????

Well in Daggers - top (albeit joint) after 4 games. A fantastic start!!!!

I couldnt agree more, Still has a fraction of the money that Notts County have, but yet they are matching them with yet another fine performance today.

GOALFLASH Nurse gets his second of the match, turning in Arbers header from close range, and I think I could well be psychic!

70MINS: Should have been 3-0 a moment ago, but Griffiths, looking for another strike this season, lobbed over with just Burch to beat.

There are more goals in Daggers today, its just a case of if and when at the moment!

60MINS: The Imps boss Peter Jackson is getting some fearful stick from his own supporters here, constant jeers and chants of Jackson out.

There are going to be some words at the end of the game, make no doubt about that.

Daggers are comfortable now, and if you get a chance to see Greens goal on TV, try and notice a Lincoln defender within a metre of the winger!

GOALFLASH: Danny Green doubles the advantage here, after some shocking defending allowed him the freedom of the area to curl the ball into the top corner.

50MINS: Its as you were here, with Kovacs getting some treatment for a head injury.

He should be alright though, and it looks like Daggers have started the second half with the intent for more goals, could they play any other way?!

Players back out again and Lincoln have made one change, bringing on Hutchinson for Clarke.

JB again: Benson - do I need to say anything? Ha ha!

I'll start calling for him to be subbed off at half time I think!

It was a shocker, I don't think I've seen as bad as miss by that in all my years of covering football!

HALF TIME

Nurse almost put Daggers 2-0 up just before the break, with his header clipping the top of the bar, and then Thurgood had a cross that hit the woodwork.

They should be out of sight by now, so here's hoping that doesnt come back to haunt them after the break.

Jamey Barron has been in touch on the email - a warm welcome on this fine day.

Good start to the Daggers game - phenomenal credit to John Still that we are even competitive after losing such a colossal part of the first team. Shows that the calibre of players he's been bringing in are excellent.

I hope he gets the manager of the month nomination - I know Notts are doing well, but the achievement under the circumstances is far more impressive for Mr Still!

Come on Daggers, hammer this Lincoln lot!

Some good points there, as there cant be too many managers who could have coped with losing over half of their side on such limited resources.

Benson has just come up with the miss of the season already!!

From just two yards out, and Im not joking, he has put the ball over the bar of an empty goal, I still dont know how hes done that now!

35MINS: Stefan Oakes just whistles a drive off target, before Green comes close for Daggers, with an almost imitation of the goal against Torquay a few weeks back, but this time is was too high.

Scott also dragged an effort wide just then, as the game has come back to life somewhat after a quiet period.

25MINS: All of Daggers good play is coming through Nurse on the left wing now, as he found Gain bursting into the area, but his touch was too heavy and the chance was gone.

Imps arent really threatening at the moment, and they are on the end of a few dubious decisions from the official, so its not their day at the moment!

15MINS: Well, that was certainly unexpected as there hadn't been a chance of note before Nurse struck.

How he got through the defence I still dont know, as they parted and allowed Nurse to fire past the exposed Burch.

Just the start that Still would have wanted though, as when Daggers get one, they usually get a few more!

GOALFLASH: Jon Nurse nets after a bustling run through the defence to score his second goal of the season and give Daggers the perfect start here.

5MINS: Fairly quiet start here, livened up just then by a poor kick from Roberts, but Antwi nipped in to clear.

Daggers havent got their usual oomph it must be said, and Connor did get clear of the defence a moment ago, but his cross was cut out for a corner.
