ONLY one arrest was made at Dagenham and Redbridge FC during their inaugural season in the Football League.

The figure confirms that Daggers fans as among the best behaved in the game.

Twenty five fixtures were played at Victoria Road, attracting a total crowd of 49,919 - an average of 1,977.

PC Mark Osborne, Barking and Dagenham Police's football liaison officer, said: "One arrest all season is an amazing figure, and it reflects the family nature of the club.

"There's no hooligan element, it's a very safe place to watch football."

Away from home, Daggers took an average crowd of 275 supporters, and no arrests were made.
