DAGENHAM & REDBRIDGE secured a fine point at promotion-chasing Bury this afternoon.

The result saw Bury fall out of the top three in the division, as Daggers held on for their second successive away goalless draw.

Returning manager John Still opted to hand Plymouth loanee Yoann Folly his first start, moving Peter Gain to the left flank and dropping Jon Nurse to the bench.

The Shakers went close early when Ryan Creswell's header was cleared off the line, while David Worrall also threatened.

Bury had a goal ruled out when Ryan Lowe netted from Stephen Dawson's throughball, but he was adjudged offside.

Daggers best chance fell to leading scorer Paul Benson, but he fired off target, while Danny Green saw his volley saved by Wayne Brown.

Veteran Welshman Tony Roberts earned his side a point late on with a brilliant save to tip over Worrall's effort.

The result sees Daggers drop to 10th in League Two, but they remain just four points off the play-offs with a game in hand on Shrewsbury Town, who suffered a surprising 3-0 defeat at relegation-threatened Grimsby Town.
