COCA-COLA LEAGUE TWO

Daggers 1 Rochdale 2

TWO goals in a minute condemned Dagenham & Redbridge to their first home defeat of the season as their reign on top of the League Two table proved a short one.

It had looked like they would keep their place at the summit as Peter Gain gave them a fourth minute lead, but strikes from Kallum Higginbotham and Craig Dawson saw Rochdale leap above Daggers into third.

The hosts showed no signs of nerves as they were ahead in the opening five minutes as Gain nodded Danny Green's cross into the top corner.

They might have extended the lead, but Tom Heaton pulled off a superb save from Josh Scott, while the striker wasted another great chance in the second half.

For all of Daggers dominance they were undone on 70 minutes when substitute Higginbotham netted with an angled drive, while 60 seconds later, Dawsom arrived to stab home a corner.

John Still's side ended the game with 10 men too as replacement Wes Thomas was dismissed for a crude challenge on Chris Dagnall in the closing stages.
