Dagenham and Redbridge FC stars stopped by at Queen’s Hospital to bring sick tots some much-needed festive cheer.
Players from the League Two side put in an appearance on the Tropical Lagoon children’s ward on Monday, chatting to young patients as well as handing teddies and signed gifts.
During the annual visit to the Romford hospital, the team took the time to speak to every child on the ward, pausing occasionally for pictures.
The club’s tour coincided with another visit to King George Hospital, Goodmayes, where they stopped by on the Clover ward.
Captain Abu Ogogo said: “I have been visiting King George Hospital with the Daggers for many years and it is such a special place.
“Our visit is always a day of mixed emotions, and it’s always nice to meet the children and their families to create as many smiles as we can.”
Hospital bosses said other schools and community groups have also popped into the wards to say hello and sing carols to provide a bit of light relief at a tough time for many.
