DAGENHAM & REDBRIDGE have been handed a lengthy away trip in the Carling Cup first round, after they were drawn away to Championship side Cardiff City.
The game, which is scheduled for the week commencing August 10, will take place at the Bluebirds new stadium, after they bade farewell to Ninian Park at the end of last season.
Cardiff boss Dave Jones has been linked with the post at West Brom after Tony Mowbray was expected to take up the manager's position at Scottish Premier giants Celtic later this week.
