DAGENHAM & REDBRIDGE were hammered 5-2 by Aldershot last night after conceding four goals in the second half. Here is how we rated the players

GK: Tony Roberts - 5 - at fault for the first goal as he got nowhere his punch, while there were a few shots spilled that he usually gobbles up so consistently

RB: Nana Ofori-Twumasi - 5 - got his first goal for the club, but that can't disguise what was a torrid night for the Chelsea youngster as he received a bit of an education from Anthony Straker. Beaten time and time again and caught out of position too.

LB: Jamie Day - 5 - made mistakes for three of the five goals and endured a debut he will want to forget. The only way is up from here though!

CB: Mark Arber - 6 - STAR MAN -rushed back into the side due to a shortage of centre-halves but was powerless to prevent a rampant Aldershot running riot. Took his penalty with assuredness though.

CB: Will Antwi - 5 - turned far too easily by Morgan for Aldershot's third goal and that sunk the hosts. Pumped aimless balls forward all evening too, which often went straight through to the keeper.

RW: Danny Green - 5 - hasn't really featured in recent games and a few dangerous crosses apart, that was the same again on Tuesday. Maybe needs a spell on the sidelines to reflect on what has been a fantastic start to life at Daggers.

CM: - Adam Miller 6 - put in plenty of effort, but too often it was deep in his own third of the pitch when Daggers needed a driving force in midfield.

CM: Peter Gain - 5 - back in central midfield but appeared to miss the influence of Stuart Thurgood alongside him and wasted possession on far too many occasions, which is so unlike him.

LW: Darren Currie - 6 - showed some neat touches in the first half, and his corners cause danger, but appeared to go missing after the break as Daggers were overrun.

CF: Jon Nurse - 5 - ran himself into the ground and was as willing as ever, but it just doesn't look like it's going to work for Nurse upfront, and Daggers missed the physical presence of Josh Scott.

CF: Paul Benson - 5 - two efforts apart, he had another quiet evening as his lean spell in front of goal continues. A puzzling predicament for the striker as he just isn't getting into goalscoring situations at the moment.

SUBS

Danny Spiller (Thurgood 64) - 5 - good to see him back in action, but the game was lost when he came on, and suffered like the rest of the midfield as they were pulled all over the place.

SUBS NOT USED: Chris Lewington, Steven Demetriou, Tommy Tejan-Sie, Abu Ogogo, Graeme Montgomery.
