DAGENHAM & REDBRIDGE slumped to a 2-0 home defeat against Cheltenham Town on Monday. Here is how we rated the players

GK: Tony Roberts - 7 - made two stunning saves to show that the agility is still there, although won't be happy with his defence for the second goal as he was left hopelessly unguarded.

RB: Nana Ofori-Twumasi - 6 - not a bad game from Nana, as he didn't do a lot wrong and got forward to fire in a few shots too. Lost possession for the crucial second goal though.

LB: Jamie Day - 6 - steady display at left back from Day, as he continues to grow in assurance. Tried to play offside for Low's clincher and got it completely wrong unfortunately.

CB: Mark Arber - 6 - solid as usual from Daggers captain and tried to marshal his troops as best as possible but it just one of those days where nothing came off.

CB: Scott Doe - 6 - had his hands full with veteran Julian Alsop, who had more of an impact as the game progressed. Defended valiantly though and continues to look more than capable at this level.

RW: Danny Green - 6 - didn't cause enough trouble with his free kicks and corners and frustratingly never chooses to cut inside and shoot, opting to try to beat his man on the wing, which is more often than not telegraphed to the defender.

CM: - Adam Miller - 6 - burst forward on occasion with plenty of intent, but more often than not, the ball was gifted back to Cheltenham and the chance wasted. Committed in the tackle as ever though

CM: Danny Spiller - 6 - first start for over two months, but never really had the chance to show what he could do. Excellent close control though and now needs to stay out of the dreaded treatment room.

LW: Jon Nurse - 5 - hardly had an impact in the opening 45 minutes and it was no surprise when his number came up in the second half. Daggers are lacking a natural left winger right now.

CF: Josh Scott - 7 - STAR MAN - hustled and bustled the Cheltenham defence and was easily the best home player on display. Puts the fear of god up his markers when he is in full flow and unlucky not to net a consolation.

CF: Paul Benson - 6 - should have done much better with his first-half header, but put it straight at the keeper. Well shackled throughout by the visitors defence.

SUBS

Darren Currie (Nurse 63) - 7 - looked anxious to get involved from the second he came on and display a fine variety of passing. Hopefully more to come from the experienced winger.

Wes Thomas (Green 75) - 6- put in plenty of effort during his time on the pitch, but the game had long gone for Daggers by then.

SUBS NOT USED: Chris Lewington, Abu Ogogo, Graeme Montgomery, Tommy Tejan-Sie, Billy Bingham.
