DAGENHAM & REDBRIDGE kept up their 100 per cent record at Victoria Road with a fine 2-1 victory over Chesterfield at the weekend.

Here is how we rated the players.

GK: Tony Roberts - 7 - would have been disappointed with McDermott's late strike, as it ruined his clean sheet, but although he wasn't tested much, his kicking was sound.

RB: Scott Doe - 8 - getting better with every game now and one glorious challenge on Jack Lester prevented a certain goal.

LB: Scott Griffiths - 8 - another top performance from Scott, who continues to get forward at every opportunity and will double his account at some point this season.

CB: Mark Arber - 8 - excellent display from the skipper, whose head was usually on the end of anything that came into the Daggers area.

Most Read

CB: Will Antwi - 8 - like Arber, he was solid from start to finish, and even had time to open his account for the hosts, with a simple header.

RW: Danny Green - 7 - did his work on the flank yet again, and put in an all-action performance

CM: Peter Gain - 7 - didn't really have his usual affect on the game, but closed down the space in midfield and but for a flying Tommy Lee, would have got his second of the season.

CM: Stuart Thurgood - 7 - another terrier-like showing from Thurgood, and he is proving to have plenty of composure on the ball too.

LW: Jon Nurse - 8 - making the left wing his own at the moment, and even got back to make a telling clearance from his own box in the second half, impressive.

CF: Josh Scott - 8 - does plenty of the donkey work upfront, and possesses an amazing strength to hold the ball up, his partnership with Benson gets better every game.

CF: Paul Benson - 9 - STAR MAN - what can you say after a goal like that? Stunning strike as he had no right to score from there. Keeping hold of him is proving to be Daggers best bit of business of the summer.

Graeme Montgomery (Nurse 70) - 6 - got 20 minutes this week and played a few dangerous balls into the box, but he will be hoping for a longer run out.

Danny Spiller (Danny Green 89) - 6 - impossible to judge on just a few minutes of action!

Wesley Thomas (Scott 89) - 6 - as with Spiller, didn't get the time to showcase his skills.

SUBS NOT USED: Chris Lewington, Abu Ogogo, Billy Bingham, Tommy Tejan-Sie.
