THE Dagenham Post is running a new web feature this season, with player ratings from the Daggers latest match available on our website.

First up is the magnificent victory at Crewe Alexandra at the weekend, where Daggers took the lead through Jon Nurse, before Paul Benson scored the winner in the second half.

GK: Tony Roberts - 7 - one great save in the first half, tipping Donaldson's header on to the bar and kept the home crowd royally entertained after the break.

RB: Scott Doe - 7 - maybe could have cleared the danger before Crewe equalised, but an assured display from the debut-maker, slotting in seamlessly.

LB: Scott Griffiths - 7 - all-action display from Griffiths, who even managed to break forward at times.

CB: Mark Arber - 8 - looks like he had never been away with a fine display at the back, his partnership with Antwi already looks extremely solid.

CB: Will Antwi - 8 - slotted into the side in place of Magnus Okuonghae, and it was as if he had been playing there all his life, excellent signing by John Still.

RW: Danny Green - 7 - always gave Daggers an outlet throughout the match, and provided real width. Tired slightly in the second half, but the signs are very promising.

CM: Solomon Taiwo - 7 - it's going to be a big season for Sol and it has started well, as he got stuck in, while also finding time for some trademark passes.

CM: Stuart Thurgood - 7 - tigerish display from Thurgood who didn't allow the Crewe midfielders time on the ball, also delivered one lovely ball to the flank, so there is more to his game than just tackling.

LW: Peter Gain - 7 - on the left wing as Still went for the experience he had hinted at, and although he is far better suited to being in the middle, he still showed why he is so vital to this Daggers team.

CF: Jon Nurse - 8 - STAR MAN - ran his socks off, harassed defenders, and scored a belter, hopefully his injury isn't too bad, as deserves a run in the side now.

CF: Paul Benson - 7- as with all good strikers, he didn't feature too much in the match, but popped up with the all-important goal, showing great composure
