DAGENHAM & REDBRIDGE were well beaten 3-0 by Notts County on Tuesday night. Here is how we rated the players.

GK: Tony Roberts - 7 - made two excellent saves during the match and doesn't deserve to be shipping so many goals at the moment. No chance with any of the strikes, especially the deflection late on.

RB: Abu Ogogo - 6 - battled hard throughout and was always willing to put a tackle in, but his long balls down the flank became a touch predictable as the game wore on.

LB: Jamie Day - 6 - was caught napping in the second half a few times after venturing forward, but still to really show the signs that made him such a rising star at Peterborough.

CB: Mark Arber - 6 - up against one of the league's most potent strikers in Lee Hughes and it was a tough night for the Daggers defence. Commanding in the air once more though.

CB: Scott Doe - 6 - can only learn from coming up against the likes of Hughes on a regular basis, but looked a little suspect to the ball over the top at times. Excellent sliding intervention when it looked like Bishop's header was going in though.

RW: Danny Green - 5 - his cross was poor almost all night long. Far too often the skill and pace was there to burst past his man, but the then the deliveries were over-hit. Very frustrating.

CM: - Danny Spiller - 6 - found it tough up against the powerhouses that Notts County used in the centre of the park and didn't really manage to stamp his authority on the game.

CM: Marlon Pack - 5 - not yet in tune with the Daggers way of playing as he was too slow to get things moving, often looking to pass sideways or back to his defence. Maybe the likes of Billy Bingham and Tommy Tejan-Sie should be given a chance to impress.

LW: Peter Gain - 7 - STAR MAN - wasted on the wing once more, but even when he was out there, he was tigerish yet again. When he moved back to the middle, it was like the old Gain as he snapped into tackles and got Daggers going again. Hopefully he will be in the centre at Lincoln on Saturday.

CF: Josh Scott - 6 - had three shots on goal in the first half which was more than anyone else managed, but they failed to really trouble Schmeichel. Gave the County defence problems, but in the end, they coped with his threat.

CF: Paul Benson - 7 - wonderful turn in the first half left his marker for dead and he showed some good link-up play. Needed to bury his header after the break though if Daggers were to mount a fight back.

SUBS

Darren Currie (Pack 69) - 5 - County were full of confidence by the time he came on and there was little he could do to stop them.

Wes Thomas (Scott 69) - 6-showed his pace again, but at this level, sometimes that is not going to be enough.

Graeme Montgomery (Green 79) - 6 - another outing from the bench and delivered a good ball into the middle. Whether he will get that much sought after first start remains anyone's guess though!

SUBS NOT USED: Chris Lewington, Romain Vincelot, Phil Walsh, Jon Nurse.
