I for one hope that Dean Ashton is truely fit. It was on England duty that he got seriously injured - no one ever explained who did it and how it happened.

I trust that the FA compensated West Ham for the loss of his services.

If the club's now excellent rehab unit have anything to do with it we will have both an England and an Ireland international raring to go in August.

I am looking forward to a couple more buys during the close season; and then the chance of seeing what GZ and SC can do over the full season.
