IT HAS been a hectic few days for Dagenham & Redbridge goalkeeper David Button, writes MIKE SIMMONDS.
The Spurs youngster was thrust into the side against Bradford City on Saturday, after only signing officially at 5pm on the Friday.
He was back between the posts for Tuesday night's 3-1 win over Brentford, and admitted it had been a strange time.
"It can be difficult, but everyone here is really welcoming and friendly, so they made it easy," he said.
"I did train with the side on Thursday and Friday, so I got to know the lads, which was helpful.
"I knew 'Robbo' beforehand and also Mick Payne (Daggers goalkeeping coach) as he used to work at Spurs.
"The Bradford game was a good result and the team played well too.
"It was nice to play myself and keep a clean sheet too."
