FAUSTUS wants knowledge. The devil wants his soul. But, if you make a bargain with the devil, can you change your mind?

Christopher Marlowe's classic drama, Doctor Faustus, is brought to life in a modern metropolis where the devil is a puppet master and every move is watched.

Horror, comedy, suspense and tragedy combine in a world where shadowy figures transform and shape the people and places on Faustus' journey.

Performed by Present Moment theatre company, it opened at the Stratford Circus, Theatre Square, Stratford, on Tuesday and runs until February 6 - at 26 performances, it's the Circus' longest running show.

Directed by Joss Bennathan, it stars Babou Ceesay - who starred with Danny Dyer in the film Severance - as Faustus and Simon Rivers, from the BBC medical drama Crash, as Mephistopheles.
