A POSTMAN admitted attacking a nightclub reveller during a fight which left the victim's brother dead.

Andy Houchelli, 37, assaulted 21-year-old John Rayner on June 17 last year.

His brother Lee, 30, suffered severe head injuries after being beaten in St Edwards Way, Romford, and died later in Queen's Hospital.

The pair were among a group of friends who were refused entry to the nearby Opium Lounge nightspot in North Street, before they were attacked.

Club doormen Johnives Kalu , 23, and Rustem Geca, 24, of Porters Avenue, Dagenham, both deny Lee Rayner's murder and will stand trial on April 28, with a third doorman, Samuel Davidson, 38, who denies violent disorder and actual bodily harm relating to John Rayner.

Houchelli admitted causing actual bodily harm and will be sentenced later.

Houchelli, of Pettits Lane, Romford, was released on conditional bail and Kalu, of East Ham Manor Way, Beckton, and Geca remain in custody.

Davidson, of the Gascoigne Estate, Barking, is on bail. He further denies a single count of possession of CS Gas.
