DAGENHAM & REDBRIDGE have earned a double nomination after the monthly awards were announced this week, writes MIKE SIMMONDS.
Manager John Still is in the running for manager of the month for August, while winger Danny Green has been named on the shortlist for the player of the month gong.
Still masterminded Daggers to four league wins during August, including 5-0 and 5-3 thrashings of Shrewsbury Town and Torquay United respectively.
While Green has been a revelation in his first season at Football League level, with a number of assists and three goals to his name too.
Also in the running for manager of the month are Ian Hendon (Barnet), Eddie Howe (Bournemouth) and even though he has just left the club, Mark Robins (Rotherham).
Green will go head to head with Barnet defender Ismail Yakubu, Bournemouth keeper Shwan Jalal and Rochdale striker Adam Le Fondre.
The winners will be announced on Soccer AM on Saturday morning.
