A DRIVER died following a crash moments after police tried to stop him near the old UeL campus in Barking yesterday (Sunday).
The unnamed man, aged around 30, was driving a green Daewoo Leganza when it collided with railings in Longbridge Road at around 3am.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission is to investigate the crash.
A police spokesman said it was believed blue lights and sirens were used to stop the car, adding no officer had been suspended or removed from driving duties and the Daewoo Leganza had not been reported lost or stolen.
