WEST HAM BC'S Dudley O'Shaughnessy has been selected for international action when a mixed England squad takes on the visiting United States team in a Sunday show at York Hall, Bethnal Green, on November 15.

The talented West Hammer is called up for the home team on the show, which includes both male and female clashes.

It is a chance for the 20-year-old Canning Town boxer to shine on the international stage, and follow up his outstanding success in domestic competition earlier in the year.

He impressed as one of the brightest prospects on the 2009 ABA title trail, with impressive winning form all the way to the national finals at Sheffield, where he was beaten by local rival Liam Cameron (Steel City) by an 8-6 score in the ABA decider.

Cameron has since switched to the pro ranks and made a winning debut at the weekend, while the West Ham boxer looks to continue his amateur ambitions.

Also booked for international action this weekend are a trio of Newham club boxers who head for Sweden with a team from the Tottenham and Enfield Police Boxing Club.

George Moughton, Liam Desmond and Casey O'Riordan are the Newham boxers who will be competing in the Angered Box Cup tournament at the weekend.
