WEST HAM'S ABA finalist Dudley O'Shaughnessy could get the chance to settle some unfinished business this season, with the arrival of south Londoner Ahmet Patterson at the Bethnal Green gym of their hot local rivals, Repton BC.

Talented Patterson made his mark on the ABA title trail last year, boxing his way into the London ABA finals in Fitzroy Lodge club colours.

However, an injury forced him to withdraw from his eagerly-awaited showdown with Hammers' star O'Shaughnessy in the London finals at York Hall.

So it was the West Hammer who took the London title on a walkover and went on to reach the National Finals.

A Patterson versus O'Shaughnessy clash would be an attraction on either club show, but such is the rivalry between the two clubs, it may have to wait until a championship meeting takes place.

Repton have also signed another successful south Londoner, flyweight Ben Truby from Bexley ABC, who has fought many top names in the division, including West Ham's Charlie Hoy.
