Dyslexic Barking dancer set for tonight’s Got to Dance final

A dyslexic dancer from Barking could be about to see his dreams realised with his dance troupe preparing for tonight’s live final of Sky One’s Got to Dance.
Javarn Carter, 16, of Boundary Road, also suffers from a memory-affecting disability but is one of the 22-strong dance troupe IMD Legion, who narrowly missed out on the topspot in last year’s climax.
The Barking and Dagenham College student, who will shortly begin his dance A-level studies, will be joined by 13-year-old Megan Gibbs and 17-year-old Chloe Davies, both from Dagenham
Battling it out with eight other finalists for the £250,000.00 prize, the group could secure their future by winning and investing the cash in a permanent studio.
Mum Lolita will be one of the 30 fans proudly sporting IMD T-shirts tonight’s audience and can’t wait to cheer on her boy.
“I was overjoyed when we found out they were in the final again,” she told the Post. “I’m really, really proud of him.
“He’s had to overcome a lot and he works so hard at his dancing.
“He’s always enjoyed seeing it on the TV so this is really exciting.”
The Got to Dance final will air on Sky One at 6.30pm tomorrow night.
