Families enjoyed strawberries, cream and the sound of a brass band as Eastbury Manor House celebrated summer on one of the hottest days of the year.

The summer fair on Saturday featured Tudor games, stalls and music from the Pavilion Brass Band.

There was also a chance to eat strawberries and enjoy a cool glass of Pimms.

This Saturday Eastbury Manor, in Eastbury Square, Barking, will be hosting a heritage day from 10am to 4pm. There will be tours of the house, an opportunity to view the permanent exhibition and sample Tudor food. There will also be Tudor games and dressing up sessions for children.
