A cook supervisor’s dessert was highly commended in the regional round of a competition.
Lisa Morris, who works at Manor Longbridge Primary School in Dagenham, received the accolade in the London School Chef of the Year 2017 heats on Tuesday.
Her delicious dessert was mandarin and coconut crumble cake with chantilly cream and orange coulis.
“I am happy to come away with another trophy for the borough and not return empty-handed,” Lisa, who has won several catering awards, said.
“The kids said they were proud of me.”
