Creating a giant jellyfish from a parachute helped bring together new students at Jo Richardson Community School.
The activity was one of a series of exercises to help welcome pupils joining one of the school’s Year Seven forms.
Lesley Montague, Jo Richardson’s out of school hours learning co-ordinator, said: “They did some parachute games to help learn each others’ names before coming together as a group to create the jellyfish together.
“They have all come from different primary schools so this is all part of the transition process to make it as easy as possible for the students.”
Photos of each form with their jellyfish will be used on their noticeboards as a reminder of what they can achieve by working together. An antibullying talk and orienteering also formed part of the school’s induction activities.
