The UEFA Champions League trophies paid a special visit to a primary school after pupils triumphed in a flag design competition.
The trophies stopped off at St Margaret’s Primary School, in North Street, Barking yesterday as a thanks for entering the highest number of designs to a flag contest,
The youngsters had been asked to come up with designs which showed off their enthusiasm for UEFA’s Women’s Champions League final held at Stamford Bridge in London next Thursday.
During the trophy visit, prizes were also handed out to children including tickets to the big game and official Adidas UEFA Champions League match balls.
Pupil Eghe Morgan, 11, said: “I was ecstatic to be standing next to the UEFA Champions League trophies because I never thought in a million years that I’ll get the chance to tell my future children about this experience.”
