Carols, craft workshops and a nativity performance were just some of the fun events at a Christmas festival on Barking Riverside.
The Rivergate Centre, which is made up of George Carey Primary School, a community centre and Rivergate Church, held the festive bash on Friday.
The event featured a carol and Christingle service, Christmas craft workshops for pupils, a table top sale, nativity performances by the school’s nursery children, and an outdoor treasure hunt run by Ian Woodward from the London Wildlife Trust.
The festival also saw the launch of the new Rivergate cafe, which will serve drinks, snacks and meals from mid-january.
