The sewing machines were out as young people learned how to make their own colourful cotton shopping bags.
Studio 3 Arts, at the Malthouse in Abbey Road, Barking, held a five day textile workshop for secondary school pupils last week.
The youngsters were asked to make a cotton shopping bag using cloth and a sewing machine and added their own personal touches.
Studio 3 Arts, a charitable arts organisation that delivers visual, digital and performing arts programmes to young people, held the workshop as part of the Summer’s Sorted programme.
