GCSE pupils were celebrating today after achieving record-breaking results.
The proportion of Barking and Dagenham students who received five or more A*- C with English and maths increased by five per cent for the third year running to 57 per cent, provisional figures show.
Education cabinet member, Cllr Rocky Gill, said: “The results are fantastic and I am delighted for our students. We are improving year on year and all schools are moving forward.”
